Special interest and training in TMJ dysfunction (Jaw Pain)- Shubham uses an active and passive manual therapy approach and his treatment approach includes use of manual therapy techniques for TMJ, Intraoral jaw mobilizations, cranial mobilizations and myofascial release techniques for relief of TMJ dysfunction.
He loves to treat Shoulder, Knee and Hip injuries in particular. Be it a elite Olympian, a club level or collegiate athlete or a weekend warrior, Shubham loves to treat them all and get them to their best mobility and function. His repertoire of sports injuries treated since 2004 include injuries sustained while playing Lacrosse, Hockey (Ice, Field and skate), Wrestling (Greco-Roman), Soccer, Basketball, Martial arts (MMA, Judo, Muay-Thai), Football, Gymnastics (Artistic and Rhythmic), Tennis, Swimming/Diving/Synchronized swimming and many more on a daily basis.
Shubham was the national team Physiotherapist for India for 2010 Commonwealth Games, 2009 FIG World Championships in London, 2 FIG World Cups in Doha, Qatar and Ghent, Belgium and the Canada Summer Games 2011. In addition to this he has worked for many Olympians, Common wealth games athletes,

As a therapist, Shubham is very thorough and engaged. He practices a direct and active one-on-one approach that engages his patients and requires their participation in each session for maximal effect. He includes a variety of hands-on manual therapy techniques and different mechanisms for the management of pain, movement dysfunction and muscular hypo or hypertonicity. He draws from a variety of treatment modalities such as Muscles Energy Technique (MET), Joint mobilizations, Joint manipulations, advanced stretching, massage, active release, myofascial release, muscle stabilization by means of exercise, as well as proprioceptive training. Shubham is also trained in electrotherapy and engages in Shockwave Therapy, Ultrasound therapy, Laser Therapy and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, Interferential currents and other forms of currents as needed.
He has completed additional coursework in TMJ Dysfunction, Mulligan's concept manual therapy (Lower Quadrant), Extremity Joint Manipulations (Ola Grimsby Institute), STEP exercise prescriptions and progressions (Ola Grimsby Institute), Kinesiotaping, McConnell Taping, Integrated Manual therapy training (Cyriax, Maitland, Mulligan's school of thought)
Shubham is a strong believer that the key to establishing a successful treatment plan begins with a thorough assessment. He truly appreciates that every patient is unique and strives to implement a treatment plan tailored to each individual. He loves to treat Sports Injuries and his unique approach towards treating Sports Injuries gives him great results every time.
Shubham is a true sports enthusiast and an avid hiker and road biker. He loves the world class terrain that the lower mainland has to offer. He loves playing soccer, tennis, badminton and cricket. When not at work, you can find him spending time with his family and 2 young kids.
