Manual Therapy
What is Manual Therapy?
Manual therapy refers to any and all forms of “hands-on” treatment provided by a Physiotherapist (or other trained professional) with the intent of restoring range of motion, modulating pain, changing muscle function, or to reduce soft tissue swelling, inflammation, or movement restrictions.
This can include the movement of specific joints to restore movement, passive movements, muscle stretching, myofascial release techniques, resisted movement, and muscle energy techniques to encourage proper muscle activation and timing.
